The Government have recently announced some great news for home buyers that could save them thousands of pounds when they buy a new home – they will now pay zero Stamp Duty on any home that costs up to £500,000 in England until 31st March 2021.
The temporary tax break means you’ll pay no Stamp Duty at all on a home priced less than £500,000 – whether you’re a first time buyer or if you already own a property and want to move on.
The amount of Stamp Duty being saved will vary depending on the property price, but for the average buyer purchasing a £300,000 home, we’ve estimated it will save them £5,000 in Stamp Duty.
Combining this with the current low interest rates of just 0.1% makes now a great time to buy a new home.
So if you are ready to take advantage then don’t delay – get in touch today and book a visit to one of our developments. You’re guaranteed a warm welcome (from a two-metre distance, of course) and we’ll give you all the assistance you need to get moving to a luxury new Orion home.
To arrange your visit, please call 01924 831030 or book via the ‘Arrange a viewing’ buttons on our website.
*The stamp duty changes apply to property purchases in England and Northern Ireland only – there have been separate changes made by the Scottish and Welsh Governments. People buying second homes and buy-to-let properties will still have to pay the 3% extra stamp duty due on the entire price.
