Whenever we build a development, Orion Homes do everything we can to keep the area as tidy as possible and we were delighted to meet a like-minded soul when a young local resident visited Jubilee Gardens in Gilberdyke.
Maisie Old popped into the Sales Information Centre with her mother to find out more about the range of three and four bedroom family homes that we’re building at Jubilee Gardens off Station Road. The conversation turned to Maisie’s activities in Gilberdyke Brownies and how they had started a new initiative to keep the community clean by making doggy bag waste containers to fix at various locations around the village. Jubilee Gardens adjoins Jubilee Memorial Pond, a picturesque park which is popular with dog walkers, so we invited Maisie to make another container to fix to our newly constructed fencing.
Sales Advisor, Nyree Dickinson, said:
“When Maisie explained the initiative, we thought it was a great idea and we were delighted to get involved. The containers are made from old water bottles, so the Brownies are doing their bit for recycling as well as helping to keep Gilberdyke clean. We’re grateful to Maisie for making another container and we made a polite notice to fix next to it, encouraging people to follow Maisie’s fine example in looking after the appearance of this lovely village!”
