Horbury-based Orion Homes is supporting local grassroots football as the official sponsor of the Under 14s at Horbury Town Juniors FC.
Based a few miles from the club’s ground, Orion funded an away kit for the squad to wear in 2024 and beyond. The players have enjoyed playing in their new strip, with a solid performance across the season and plans to build on their success when they step up to the Under 15s league in September.
Under 14s coach, Ian Harrison said:
“Orion Homes have been brilliant in supporting us this season. The players absolutely love the kit, and they’re proud to wear it. They often come to training in the kit and wear it for kickabouts in the park. We have a red home strip and lots of other teams in our league also play in red, so without the kit from Orion we’d have played many of our matches in bibs. Since we got the new away kit at Christmas, the team has worn it in 10 of the last 12 matches and results have really picked up! Hopefully it will continue to bring good luck next season. We’ve also entered some six-a-side tournaments this summer and we’ll be able to split the squad into two teams, one playing in the home kit and one in the away kit.”

Orion Homes is currently building a wide range of spacious and highly specified homes at developments in Cawood, Featherstone and Barnsley.
