The Government have recently announced some great news for home buyers that could save them thousands of pounds when they buy a new home – they will now pay zero Stamp Duty on any home that costs up to £500,000 in England until 31^st March 2021.

The temporary tax break means you’ll pay no Stamp Duty at all on a home priced less than £500,000 – whether you’re a first time buyer or if you already own a property and want to move on.

The amount of Stamp Duty being saved will vary depending on the property price, but for the average buyer purchasing a £300,000 home, we’ve estimated it will save them £5,000 in Stamp Duty.

Combining this with the current low interest rates of just 0.1% makes now a great time to buy a new home.
